One Skein my ass...

The completed Ruffle Cravat from One Skein. Which did not, actually, take one skein, but one and a bit - it was a full motif short. Luckily I had a ball-end to use up or I'd have been quite cross. I work tightly and I couldn't get an 11.5mm hook (what a strange size), mine was 10mm, so that's probably why. It got a test run out in the extremely windy weather this afternoon and was beautifully warm without being excessively bulky, so overall I'd recommend it. Actually my daughter demanded one just like it on the spot, so I've already started work on a dusky rose pink version...not a colour either of us would go for usually but I got two balls of it amongst the job lot of the lilac above. I'm really annoyed to find out this yarn (Debbie Bliss Superchunky) is being discontinued - K really wanted a red one, but we couldn't find red anywhere at a reasonable price. I am so not paying over £8 a ball for a kid's scarf! I will be looking for cheap lots of it, though, because I really do love working with it and I'd rather like a few cloche hats in different colours.

Oh my god, I've become a hat person. How did THAT happen?!
